Life, A Long Journey

Life is a long journey with both its good and bad aspects. From the moment we are born, we travel long distances to sustain our lives.

In this process we struggle through, we stop at stations like a passenger train and open our doors to people. During this time, some passengers may stay with us, some may take a break, and some may choose to end their journey here.

We should not forget the different lives that may want to enter our wagon just seconds before the doors close after passengers get off. Of course, since our wagon may sometimes be full, we may need to make room for new opportunities.

Obstacles Along the Way

As we move along our route, not only people but also external factors accompany us. Sometimes it is rain, snow, or storms; other times it can be earthquakes, fires, or avalanches.

If we have the means, we take precautions and continue our journey prepared. If conditions do not allow, we stop and wait for the danger to pass.

When we look at our daily lives, it is not possible for everyone to move on the same path in terms of opportunities. Even if we are on the same route, our experiences, conditions, professions, ages, perspectives, and perceptions—everything that makes us who we are—are different.

Some of us pursue learning, some climb career steps, and some simply try to survive.

Entering the Station

No matter who we are, there is one truth we can accept: problems seek resolution.

As we overcome the problems we experience, we open new horizons for ourselves.

However, there may be times when we do not want to reflect the damage we have experienced onto the people in our wagon. This is completely normal.

Because we may feel weak or fear being misunderstood.

At this point, just like trains entering a maintenance station after service hours, we can empty our wagons and take our body and soul to the 'station within'.

The station within is a place where we step away from the intensity of daily life and transition into calmness.

Here, we decide how long we stay and what we reflect on.

Alone With Ourselves

And talking to ourselves is completely allowed.

However, this station has one rule:

Just as we are asked to leave certain belongings outside before entering some places, we must also leave outside anything that tires or confuses us.

Because the purpose of this space is to truly be alone with ourselves.

If this rule is broken, the station loses its function.

If we have entered, we are now alone with ourselves.

At the first stage, we can express whatever is tiring us, either verbally or in writing.

Setting Off Again

As the sentences inside us come out, our burden lightens.

In this process, we can look at ourselves and events from different perspectives and connect our emotions and behaviors.

The most important thing here is not to blame ourselves or others.

Because the purpose of this space is not to judge, but to understand.

After this, we can ask ourselves:

“What do I really need right now?”

And more importantly:

“How can I make myself feel better?”

The answers will become a roadmap for us.

Some decisions work, some do not. We can only learn through experience.

Sometimes we may feel stuck and struggle to decide.

In such moments, seeking professional support is also an option.

After applying our decisions and feeling better, we can set a route and continue our journey from where we left off.

And whenever we need, we can return to the station within.
